Janine Benyus is brilliant. Her along with other biomimicry researchers are “listening and watching” the planet for better and more efficient designs. It just amazes me how biomimicry is helping us as creators to look pass our egos and look at the creators that have been building and designing for millions of years. I know this isn’t directly about food, but for me this frame of mind is so important for the kinds of changes that our agribusiness system needs. This frame of mind is what Dan Barber references in the earlier TEDTalks I posted. The two systems, a fish farmer and a producer of foie gras in Spain, are using amazing models of biomimicry.
